Get in the water
Swimming is a great stress buster, as well as one of the most
effective forms of aerobic exercise around. Different clubs offer
different classes and timetables for their pools, but typically
you'll find time set aside for lane swimming, as well as aqua
classes. A bit like aerobics in the pool, with the added benefit of
the water's natural support, aqua classes are a good way to shape
up, lots of fun and very effective. Check with your club for more
details. Swimming with kids
There can't be many things that are more fun than swimming with
your children. Lots of splashing, lots of laughing - and great
exercise for all the family. That's why we have special times for
family swimming at most of our pools. We also run parent and
toddler classes, children's swimming lessons and special sessions
during weekends and holidays. Hurray! Here's a few more
things you should know
• A qualified lifeguard is present at every pool • Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by a
responsible adult (over 16 years old) • Babies and toddlers who aren't toilet trained need to wear
special swim nappies (they can be purchased at reception) • Please encourage your child to go to the loo and shower
before getting into the pool. Accidents do happen but we try to
maintain a high level of hygiene
